ACSI Competitions

Seeds of Excellence is seeking to provide for its Prep Academy a broad range of healthy activities which involve students from other schools.  Students are enriched and skills are enhanced as they ponder competing with others from varied backgrounds.  Planning activities during the pandemic has been a challenge, but we were able to get our feet a little wet regardless. During the 2021-2022 school year, 12 students were selected from our 3rd-5th grades to compete in the ACSI Math Olympic competition which was offered through long distance learning.  They competed on March 1st with students from a few schools along the eastern seaboard.  An ACSI Spelling Bee is being planned for strong spellers in 1st-6th Grades, and the 3rd-6th grades will participate in the ACSI Choral Festival for ratings.  Mrs. Webb-Allen, our school music director, works very enthusiastically on great song arrangements which must display 3-part harmony.

The Association of Christian Schools (ACSI) is the world’s largest Protestant Christian educational organization and exists to help “schools contribute to the public good through effective teaching and learning and through striving to be biblically sound, academically rigorous, socially engaged, and culturally relevant.”  It was founded in 1978.  Seeds of Excellence is proud to be one of its member institutions.  ACSI has touched the lives of an estimated 5.5 million students.
