SOECA uses different tools to offer education beyond the classroom and enhance the learning experience for our students.
The Learning Management System (LMS) is a Renweb platform that makes it easier to implement blended learning and other current teaching methodologies via an intuitive, friendly interface. LMS measures and monitors student progress, facilitates critical thinking projects, prepares students for scholastic advancement, and improves communication. Through LMS, teachers are able to collaborate with their classes with everything in one place. During emergency situations that require the school to close, all classroom communications and academic assignments are posted there. During such events, LMS should be checked daily to ensure academic success.
Parents/students should log in to LMS to access the digital learning platform for your applicable courses. Each student has unique credentials that have been emailed to the parents. For security purposes, we requested that parents keep this information private and refrain from sharing their child(ren)'s credentials with anyone.
For troubleshooting and any questions related to accessing and navigating LMS, please contact info@SOECA.net.
ZOOM is used for live interactions such as circle time, devotion, and Q&A. All Zoom meetings are password protected. The teachers will provide access links and notify the families with the times that their live sessions will occur. During emergency situations that require the school to close for an extended period of time, teachers use Zoom at least once a day to interact with the students.
YouTube is used for teachers to record video lessons and messages. Additionally, we use YouTube for tutorials, announcements, and school coverage. During emergency situations that require the school to close, our chapel sermons are posted on our YouTube channel.
