"The Expedition” After-School Program (ASP)

Seeds of Excellence Christian Academy's afterschool program (ASP), "The Expedition," is designed to provide scholars with a safe and engaging environment where they can continue to learn and grow after the school day ends. Our program is committed to providing a fun and enriching experience for scholars in grades K - 8.

Our Christ-centered Afterschool Program (ASP) supports the whole child—mind, body, and spirit. We create an environment where students are reminded that they are created with purpose and promise. Through hands-on academics, biblical truths, and character development, we help students thrive academically and spiritually.

Program Schedule
Monday – Friday | 3:45 PM – 6:30 PM

Each afternoon begins with prayer and devotion, followed by structured academic support and engaging learning time. Students receive homework help, enjoy a healthy snack, rotate through subject-based activities, and end the day with reflection and gratitude.

Academic Focus
Students explore three core academic areas: STEM, Math, and Language Arts. Each rotation is hands-on and tailored by grade band to build foundational skills, critical thinking, and creativity. Lessons are designed to tie in with weekly spiritual themes, reinforcing both knowledge and faith.

Monthly Learning Themes
Each month centers around a biblical truth that connects with academic content. For example:

  • God the Creator aligns with STEM learning.
  • God Gave Me a Mind to Learn supports math development.
  • Words Have Power enhances language and communication skills.
  • I Am Wonderfully Made promotes personal growth and self-awareness.
  • These themes provide a consistent framework for spiritual and academic growth.

Spiritual and Character Development
Faith is woven into each day through journaling, scripture memorization, guided reflection, and prayer. Devotionals and character-building activities help students develop a strong sense of identity and purpose in Christ.

Enrichment Activities
To support well-rounded development, students participate in rotating enrichment sessions such as physical fitness, STEM clubs, creative arts, and movement-based activities. These opportunities encourage exploration, expression, and confidence.

Friday Fun Days
Fridays feature a special themed activity to celebrate the week, such as Movie & Popcorn Day or Game Day. These events help build community, boost morale, and give students a fun and relaxing way to wrap up the week.
